FAQ
Frequently asked questions about Closeworthy
I work directly with SaaS founders on market entry, positioning and sales. These are the questions I usually hear before we start.
What founders usually ask me
What do you do at Closeworthy?
I help MENA and GCC SaaS founders sell in Europe and the US. We work through market entry, positioning and the sales process, and I can build the RevOps and AI tools that support the work.
What have you done before Closeworthy?
I've spent 25 years in tech and 18 in revenue leadership, including roles at Yahoo!, Netflix, SurveyMonkey and Userpilot. At SurveyMonkey (Momentive), I was VP of Sales EMEA and Dublin Site Lead, and I built the EMEA business from zero to €60M. I'm also an Executive Member of Pavilion.
Who do you work with?
I mainly work with SaaS founders from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and the wider Middle East who want to sell in Europe or the US. I also work with founders who are still doing the selling themselves and teams whose growth has stalled.
Should a GCC SaaS company expand to Europe or the US first?
For most, I'd go to the US first. It's one large market with one language, buyers who move quickly, and much less data-protection friction in the sales cycle than Europe. Europe can make sense first if your demand is already coming from one European country or your deals depend on in-person relationships.
Will you advise us or do the work with us?
You work with me directly. I help shape the strategy and then build it with your team, so nothing gets lost between the plan and the pipeline.
How do we get started?
We can start with a diagnostic call to look at your pipeline and decide what to tackle first. If you'd rather take a first pass yourself, the free Revenue Leak Diagnostic has 24 statements across six dimensions of go-to-market.
Do you work with companies outside the Middle East?
Yes. I've built SaaS sales organisations in the Middle East, Europe and the US, and I work with SaaS founders in all three regions.
